Start our days in Black Hills

We started Monday morning 

This is the southern part of North Dakota

Here we are a long day
I drove some not crazy about pulling a trailer
It is a nice camp park
Has a pool did not bring my swim suit

left for the day went to Keystone 

and to the faces

What a thing they did is so amazing

pick stone is mined in SD Pink Quartz

Sage Natives use a lot in there ceremonies

Went to crazy horse on the way went to Custer. I really like this town the best ,

very old time looking old building a main street,It had a lot of art even a art gallery bought a small watercolor of Marbles I meet the husband

 Another city with big animals

 Joe thought is was different

 This horses dress has 100's of beads

There thousands of beads on this dress for the horse

 This is the monument of Crazy Horse

It is so large . The inspiration came from natives many years ago, Part of the family is still working on it. the whole monument is so nice . they even gave free coffee

 The tour was so informative about the native ways

 You can camp in a tee pee It would be primitive

We walked around the base 1.3 miles it was so warm 90 something and the elevation over 4000
We did not want to go dancing after

There where these hanging on trees called pray doll or pray rags

Lots of Native Indians traditions.

Spent time at my sisters house and my daughter. Saw allot of different things

Don't think we will camp in July and August 

 We where very close to the tower in the camp park

A bit warm

in the 90's - 100's

Going on our first long trip 

In our camper

Is in our drive way

all ready to go

I have tried to 

keep it the 50th style

I have alway  dreamed of having one of  the vintage camper

now I have one 

our is a  bit bigger

It  has to use it for something

 DH put the doors and handles on them this week 

So much better

We are missing the Radio and DVD player

Going to pick up before  leaving

 We put up the metal around the stove 

I did not want a grease to get in the paneling

Changed the border wallpaper

I did collect pepsi thing 

I only have my favorite left.

 The pillow is from sister 

she picked it up on our Cruise in New Orleans

For my birthday

I also have some camper ornaments

I would like to  have a tree or something,

To hang them on

The quilt is tee shirts from different place we have been.

My grandaughter gave us the bed spread and shams

The box ix a vintage record case box

will use for our DVD

I made the pillows

Food ready to go 

I pre cook most thing

 Then I mix it together  and finish cooking or we grill it

I will be doing my trip some of the 

country side and our touring

The landscape is different the way down there 

I live in North Dakota

We have a lot of Grain Farming 

I think SD has more Cattle Ranching

Hope I get comments 

or any  new ideas

Trying to build my blog and followers back

 since I lost it year

 I did find it put do not know how to connect it back to this one

The day trip

Went on a day trip with my DH

came across this a banded farm

So we took a look

The grass was very high

With allot of wood ticks

This the side area

Better know as a lean to

The copper color tub was a washing machine,

 There was a long work bench

some machine parts all rusted

 Alot of rust things

 This the home on the farm

This is the first room coming in the house 

I love the door frame in the door way.

To me the house looked a good big size, from  the outside

inside it was small .

I like the diamond  shape window in the Attic

This is the pump and a fence,

Thought it would make a neat painting

I like the color of the wood and the rust of the pump

 It is so sad to see these farms.

The lose of a home and there family story

There are so many now in North Dakota

It was a nice day

These are what I have been doing .

Been collecting things for years.

I have wanted to make small vignettes on tuna, mint ,sardines, ham cans.

For a long time

Most of the bisque dolls I have had,

I also used Paper Clay to make some.

I have made over 150 small different vegnettes

It was so fun

Not sure what  I will do with them all .

There are a few I will keep. 

So here they are

 This is a vintage Popsicle holder, you put liquid like kool -aid

in them and freeze

 Vintage baby shoe

 The bear is a artist designed  bear  the doll is Paper Clay,

I may still add more to the base

I just stared making crowns, 

 My mistake I ordered legs and arms thinking they very small

When they came surprise

larger so now what do I use them for 

This  is what I come up with, 

They are labeled in case I sell them some time

 Here is a sardine can and the lid

another one of the arms ,evil eye, a vintage can opener

I tred to age the can and corners,

 Another mint can things from  here and there

 This a paper-mache box  it was did it was a drum

I changed it, The paper is  vintage wall paper, box of candy from Italy,

bears is hand embroidery,silk ribbon flower,the nest is with rags and mod podge

 Sardine can lid and a small procelain doll

 another can lid

 A jar from oil  room freshener

Them hands I ordered 

I think they  would look good a small pillow in a bathroom

I could go on and on.
